In procrastinating writing a research proposal I ran across this stuff on youtube.  Its a silicone polymer that sets after (i think) enough contact with air.

It comes from a kickstarter-ey company called sugru and I was just wondering if anyone has had experience with DIY molds using this or another similar silicone product.  It looks promising but I was wondering if anyone on headfi's already done such a thing.

Not sure what company it is, but I do remember seeing a company coming out with a similar product, but actually meant for making custom molded tips for IEM's. Do some searching, I'm sure you'll find it. I personally would prefer to go with something meant to be used in your ear, never know what materials might be harmful to skin when in direct contact for hours
