I can't speak to the HD-25s. As far as production headphones in your price-range though, I've listened a bit to the ATH-M50 and have a couple of friends who produce and mix all manner of electronic music with them. They've got great sub-bass and pretty good resolution, and if you're willing to take a risk on eBay you can find them for substantially less than $150. You might want to put the money you save toward a decent amp though, as I understand the M50s suffer without. Just one suggestion.
If you're gonna be mastering you might instead look toward a pair of near-field studio monitors though, unless you've got whiny neighbors. I don't know firsthand, but it seems to be general consensus that monitors have several advantages for mixing and mastering unless you really know your headphones pretty well.
