Loading PatchMix without Effects

Delete CTEDSPFX.dll file in the system32 folder or any other instance present in the Windows folder and subfolders.

Or, I also 'put up' a VERY chopped down version of the 1.71 drivers - only tested on the 1212m, if anyone is willing to test it further on 0404 or 1820 it's here: http://rapidshare.de/files/1503176/E...s1_71.rar.html . See the readme file in the archive (2.7 megs including patchmix)

Included some FOOBAR 'minimal' 44.1 sessions in there too for the 1212m

Should work on the other EMU cards too, but is untested as I don't have all the EMU bunch in my yard.

Don't try to bother if you don't know how to install drivers using a .inf file.

EDIT: you can install only the drivers and leave the patchmix as it is.

Just tested on a new XP install/1212m without any hiccups so they should be safe to use.

Latest version of the chopped down version of the drivers - newer than 1.71 (most files are took from an Audigy 4 Pro update (same drivers for most of their cards - yuck) on Creative's website and are dated 04/04/05) is here:

Is there any way to force Patchmix to install if you previously installed the drivers straight from device manager, rather than running their install program?

None that I know of, but you can copy the files for the Patchmix in any dir, run it and it will work.
