Anyone using something to adapt a 120 volt peice of gear to 240? How is the sound quality affected? Any ones you would recommend?

The simple transformer-based ones usually work well - e.g. this one: http://www.pollin.de/shop/shop.php?c...Njk1OTc5&ts=20

Every couple of years I move from Europe to the USA and back. I was able to change the internal wiring in my components most of the time to adjust it to the different voltage, ocasionally I had to exchange the whole transformer inside the component.

So I would first check with the manufacturer and se if you can simply change the internal wiring to the different voltage.

Thanks I have an email in to BAT right now to see exactly whats involved in changing the stuff over.
