I have a pair of 109 Pros for about a year now.

I loved them for a short while after purchase, but I simply dont get them on my ears much these days. It really has to do with the severity of its signature, which i find too aggressive in the treble region.

It's fun and dynamic but id love to know if anyone has done anything to tame those trebles other than software EQ? I find EQ too limiting especially if using a mobile device and streaming apps.

If you order a sheet of thin foam like I did on Aliexpress, you can cut custom foam inserts to take the treble down on those open cups. The one I got is this for $3

It really helps tuning the Dan Clark Aeon Closed, because those felt pads take off too much treble, but without them they're too bright. I just snip them the right size for anything to take a little brightness down without a veiled sound. The Sennheisers with the thick pad liner sound great with foam instead to wake them up.
