question is will the sound difference be huge between the 2 options? Im thinking px100 because i want something airy and comfy and have my ep630 for the occasional times when i need isolation

The Denon D1000 is better then the ES7 from MANY posts I have read. It's the same price, but more comfortable and better SQ. Depending on waht you listen to, the Grado may be a good choice (more "airy" as you described).

I personally love the PX100s for portable use, they are almost as detailed as my Shure E4C and a lot more comfortable to wear for longer sessions.
