Hey all

So my friend is making the jump into audio, and has a strict $100 budget.

I was thinking Dayton B652s + a Lepai TA-2020 + some generic speaker wire http://www.amazon.com/RCA-AH1650SN-16-Gauge-Speaker-Wire/dp/B0029HO66G/ref=pd_bxgy_e_text_c

My concerns are with the Lepai's output levels and distortion. Is there a better amp out there that would keep the setup under $100 while offering better sound?

DAC will be onboard realtek from his laptop, until he can get together the funds to do a DAC upgrade (maybe an E7?).

thoughts?

Hit the Sony SS-B3000 as i had a sharing thread on the TA2020s with loudspeaker pairings and if you are super tight for $$ those Daytons are a decent choice but peeps feedback a too thin sound and basically almost nothing in the lower end. 8" driver and more efficient too which plays an important role with low powered T-amps
