Upgrading from an e4c. Some headphones in my list are grado 80, ms-1, hd 280, px100 (lol?).

What is my best bet with a $100-200 price range?

Well; it sneaks in at a buck below your $100 minimum, but the MS-1 are a real good bet for a fairly large range of music and have quite a following here!
