1 source to 2 devices using a dumb cable vs distribution?

I want to connect the line out of a source to 2 destinations.  Will I be fine with a simple splitter?  The destination will be 2 high end cassette decks from the mid 90s.  Probably a Denon and a Pioneer.  Not sure about the source yet but its probably going to be a USB DAC.
