hello
i'm looking for a good 1/4" --> 1/8" adapter. nothing extravegant but good, nonethless. looking to plug some 1/4" terminated headphones into a portable amp with 1/8" jack.

I can recommend (from several years of experience with it) the Grado adapter for a 1/4" headphone plug to adapt it to fit a mini stereo jack. I've never noticed any roll-off or loss of sound quality using it, and I like the cable in it to relieve the strain on the mini jack. I've always been very unimaginative and just bought mine from HeadRoom.

I have the Grado... which cost me $20, and the ear-candy... which cost me $120. Personally, I can't hear a difference and the right angle on the ear-candy pops out a lot more than the straight Grado.

There's also this new one by planet waves. Judging by other planet waves products they are of at least the same quality as the grado.
