i saw an auction for ECQB 1H223 .022 uf 50v caps and was wondering if they would be good for the meta which requires .02uf for xfeed (am i right?) and .12 or .1 +.02 uf for the main board. would substituting .022 affect it, are they safe to use?

regards,

Those are MKS-2s, eyevancsu. You should download the datasheet for any part that you're thinking about buying. In this case, it would have told you that the MKS-2 is a metallized polyester line. You want to use polypropylene film and foil caps for my crossfeed board, if you can help it. I occasionally use polyesters when I'm trying to cram the board into a really tight space, but only then.

The Wima cap line that works best in my crossfeed board is the MKP-10 line. Metallized polypropylene, not film and foil. The related film and foil FKP-1 line is too big to fit in the board. Part of the reason has to be that there isn't a low-voltage version of this cap line. The Panasonic ECQPs go down to 50V, whereas the Wimas start at 400V!
