I'm looking for a 3.5 mm to 6.35 mm adapter with a cable between the connectors. People here seem to talk about how they cause less strain on the input jacks of devices due to the way its weight is distributed (compared to the barrel-type/screw-on adapters). But I can't seem to find a place that sells such a cable. The cable should ideally be no more than 6 inches long and not cost more than 10 USD, but I'm open to suggestions.

I could use a 3.5 mm -> 6.35 mm barrel adapter and a 6.35 mm extension cable, but that seems too inelegant.

Alright, let me see if I can get a better response by phrasing it differently...

What do you use to connect your headphones with a 3.5mm plug to your amplifier/receiver/big fancy audio system with a 6.35mm jack?
