Hi, I've recently purchased a pair of Grado RS 325i and I'm going to plug them into the rear line output plug of an Auzen X-Fi Prelude card. By now I don't want to use any headphone amp. So the problem is that, if I don't manually unplug the headphones, the sound card is always sending signal to them. Is there any way to disable the audio signal without having to unplug the headphones each time I'm not going to use them anymore? I'm thinking in mutting the sound on the control panel of the card, but do you think that aboslutely no signal is transfered to the headphones? Another solution is by disabling the card on the Windows XP System control panel, but I have the same doubt as before.
By the way, those who own this card ¿Which output do you think is better to plug the Grado headphones, the rear line output for front speakers or the internal headphones output conector by using the headphones plug in the front of the PC case?
Regards.
