At the moment i am listening to my music with my LG V20 phone and Sennheiser 535 SE Red earphones.
The sound is great but i would rather have a dedicated MP3 player.
What in the £200 range should i be looking at for a similar or better sound ?
I listen mostly to rock and trance music... good bass needed.
Thanks for any replies.

The obvious would be the shanling m0 which seems to have the same or similar dac to the lg series. Good news for you it only costs £100. If you want something a bit bigger you may need to look elsewhere.

Thanks for the replies.
I have been looking at the Shanling M3s which can be had for about £215.
I listen to spotify at work via wifi so i would also need to be able to connect to this service as well.
I do not mind buying second hand if it gets me a better sounding unit.

You'd need a DAP with Android and unfortunately, iirc the cheapest Android DAP is the Hidizs AP200 but their customer service is extremely horrible and I wouldn't recommend that.
The Hiby R3 is the closest thing but it can only run Tidal/Hiby music app.
