Hello all, thanks to your help I bought the DT-880 600 ohm. Never regretted buying it. It's a wonderful headphone for the modest prize. But now I am looking for a IEM / CIEM (in combination with a mobile DAC) that has equal or slightly better sound. - sound stage has to be the same or better...

What do folks here recommend as best overall and/or best value replacement pads for the Beyerdynamic DT-880s? Does switching from the stock microfiber velour to (real or faux) leather pads appreciably change the sound and presentation? If so, how?

I've was given a pair of DT-880 600 ohm headphones a while ago. They work fine with my amp at home but not so good when I'm travelling with just my laptop. I was thinking of getting the Objective2 Amp to power them. But a lot of people are saying to get the ODAC with it. I don't want to do this...
