I didn't have much expectations when i ordered this headphone from Gearbest back in january 2016..it took around 3 weeks to arrive and the packaging was simple. The moment i unpacked the box i got an excitement coz the headphone was screaming great build quality specially in the cable department. The cable of this Xiaomi Piston Starter Edition is flat and tangle free which is really convenient for a person who is used to tossing things around. Unlike other round wires.. Now i can just take the headphone out of my pocket and untangle it within seconds and get going
Packaging:
I actually ordered 2 more after listening to the sound quality..its better to be safe so no need to worry about price hiking up or going out of stock.
In hand feel is awesome.. the cable has a matte black rubbery finish and can say it will withstand some level of abuse. I have used it for over 3 months and ordered 2 more mainly because of the satisfactory build quality only. i would say it is really worth more than the asking price.

Sound quality:
Well first i have to mention this.. I am not an audiophile person also not that technical when it comes to explaining in levels of highs, mids and soundstage etc what i can say is just how i feel about the output. Btw i have used several headphones like hd202, hd205, 212pro, xb300, cx300, cx200 etc i can compare how it ranks among them. When im listening to a song usually i pick the hd212pro or CX300 mainly because of the bass.
Actually i can say that this $4 headphone can sometimes even go beyond the hd212 pro level when it comes to bass but i still feel something is lacking in the quality which i cant explain in words. Maybe its something with bass overpowering some level of details. When compared with sennheisers and sonys of course this sounds a bit inferior but i still keep picking this because this can get really loud and as the volume goes up the bass also tends to increase which is really a pros to me. Let's say out of 10 songs 1 might have some confused bass level which can sound a bit artificial but in most cases i get very good bass. I also dont have any complaints in vocals most of the time the songs sound clear and has a nice texture to it which is really different from headphone to headphone.
Conclusion:
If you are looking for a budget headphone then this is the best pair of headphone you can try without breaking the bank. I dont think anyone will regret grabbing an extra pair of headphone for as little as $4-5 which is also quite durable.
