@twister6 how do these compare to the Inearz 650's?

@eldss : There are definitely similarities where IE650 takes from both W60 and ES60, just not as refined.  For example, 650 low end doesn't have the same deep slam as W60, probably closer to ES60 but not as tight or articulate.  Also, 650 mids are not as thick as W60, closer to being leaner like ES60 but not at the same level of detail retrieval.  You also need to keep in mind that with a more neutral source you will hear bigger ES60 advantage, while with warmer source (or a warmer amp) difference gap starts to shrink.  Also, keep in mind the price difference.  If Westone, Noble, 1964 Ears are out of your price budget, InEarz and CustomArt are fantastic CIEM alternatives.

Could you please compare this to a UERM?

good review....  shame these cost 2x the Ei.xx .... looks like the Ei.xx is the better value for sure...

@Dixter : a better price but not necessary a better value since you are comparing different sound signatures.  This is definitely not the case of one costing 2x more and sounding 2x better because we are comparing apples and oranges.  I like both of them, and they are not competing with each other.  If you like bass, Ei.xx is the way to go.  If you want more details without sounding harsh - ES60 is a great choice.

Thanks for the review.
Just a minor note as a long time es5 owner. You only really need to use the ear piece lubricant a few times. Or at least that was the case for me. After that the wax or whatever that naturally occurs in your ears will keep them slick enough.

Hope this question doesn't sound too weird....
I've never used ear piece lube....  don't have any either.... but is it about the same as KY jelly ??   or is it something entirely different...

shall I upgrade from W60 to ES60?
Actually I favor most the vocal sound of um3xrc.

@um3xrc : both have excellent rendition of vocals with an accurate tonality, but ES60 is more neutral, more reference, more transparent.  It's hard to recommend the upgrade because if you don't like it, it's hard to "upgrade" from CIEM since you are stuck with it.  I personally prefer ES60 over W60 and if you are making a decision between these two, I would recommend ES60 unless if you want more bass slam.  If you like W60 and vocals (upper mids region content), I would stick with W60.
