Where can you buy them?

Thanks for the review. Your EQ preset is perfect and has made my Sands even better then before. This IEM is an endgame set on a budget. The Sands are so resolving that not a single headphone I have ever heard can compare to the dynamic and resolution of this set.

@tubbymuc you can find them on Linsoul, where I got them from, and also on the Penon website. On Penon you have an offer for a replacement cable that is greatly appreciated by the community, the PAC480 and you can have it bundled with the Sands as it's a common replacement choice for the Sands. I didn't choose it though because I prefer slimmer cables that weigh less, else they just pull down on my ears and I hate the sensation of it.

@ExTubeGamer Thanks for the kind words, and yeah the more time you spend on the Sands the more you notice how impressive its replay is. My review may seem quite critical at first but that doesn't detract from the fact that The Sands is leagues above its competition and has character like no other, it's a very special IEM indeed

Just so you guys know. It is Penon that is a official Tansio Mirai dealer. Linsoul buys them when you order. They dont have any in stock I was told. They buy them in the Chinese market and then sells them to make it seem like they have them. In other words Linsoul is not an official Tansio Mirai dealer. If there is any issues, Penon can handle them, I have no idea how linsoul would follow through as they are not official dealers for Tansio.

@Dsnuts Thanks for the clarification ! It is hard to find info about this kind of partnerships or not, but thanks to the power of the Internet and forums we can gather these did bits into a single place. Am I right then in saying that Penon is the exclusive official dealer ?

I don't know about exclusive but if you look at Penon web site they have every Tansio Mirai IEM and sold them since the first day they got on the scene. The stuff I am saying is from Tansio Mirai themselves. I doubt Linsoul even carries the Akima Tansios Flagship. That is how you can tell they are official or not. I just checked their web site. It seems to me Linsoul carries one or two sets. Again just buys them to make it look like they carry them.

It wouldnt surprise me if they do that with a lot of 3rd party IEMs.

Yes, I think Linsoul does that to boost the number of brands hosted on their site. I don't think there's any real return or policy after you bought a Tansio Mirai from them, so just pray that it doesn't break I guess.

@Half Note I know tuning of Sands is a bit awkard on paper, far from neutral for sure, but what about timbre and body? I listen to symphonic music a lot and I am immediately put off if the midrange is highly recessed like on the Shuoer S12, that makes the orchestra not sound full-bodied and natural. I'm currently using Blessing 2 which has amazing timbre, but is just pretty much... boring. As you said, I like to choose which part of the piece I'm gonna listen too, but without sacrificing tonality too much (btw. I'm not treble sensitive too much). What would you advise?

@LeonidK if you can, try the Sands out. They're really, really great for symphonic and orchestral. I don't think you'd even need EQ
