My Shozy case is simpler.

Apparently they recently replaced it with this snazzy one. I quite like it.

Not sure what to say about the cable. The earpieces are extremely light...and so is this textile cable. If we replaced it with one like the KBEAR Diamond's, such "chain" would rip our ears out....but that's what people want today.

I have tons of cables at home...which kind should I try?

@Otto Motor I personally prefer thin, light cables over the current trending ones (hence loving the Starfield's cable). The one that came with the EarNiNE EN2J is probably my favorite. It doesn't feel very durable, but it's really light, flexible and completely unobtrusive in use. MMCX though so it's not compatible with the 1.4. As to which cable you should try? Pick your favorite and see how it pairs I guess, lol.

Oh man, this review is great. The 1.4 sounds up my alley - almost like a cheaper Polaris: fun, bassy, and engaging. I'll have to pick one of these up when I next have mad money.

@ActuallySparky Glad you enjoyed the review! That's an apt comparison. 1.4 has tighter bass with less mid-bass emphasis but smoother texturing, less upper treble energy and airiness, and cleaner, more forward mids vs. the Polaris II. They're both pretty entertaining earphones :)

$200? It gives me pause for what it seems to deliver...

@IEManiac: What does your statement mean? Even with Google Translate I don't understand it literally - although it appears to express doubt. I have presently the 1.1 and 1.4 on my desk with the task of finding out whether the price differential is justified.

And I am a tough cookie.

What I am expecting: on the surface, there won't be much difference between the two. Shozy did not do themselves a favour making both models look and feel essentially the same....which already creates a psychological barrier. But when it comes to usage...I am wondering how often I will pick up the 1.1 and how often the 1.4.

Even before the 1.1, I have used the 1.4 a lot...it enjoys the second highest usage in my collection after the JVC HA-FDX1. Reason is that silky appeal of the low end that is easy on the ears. Technically, the 1.4 is nothing special.
