Great review. I love the Serial I just wish the soundstage was bigger.

@szore tx mate. bigger or deeper? i use Kbear KB07 wide bore eartips....not the one included...find it quite wide, enough tall, but as said, those dense layering stole some depth perception too...soundstage is bigger than UM 3DT tough

Well the Serial certainly has amazing layering and depth, I just wish the whole stage was just 'pushed out' a little more, if you know what I mean....

@szore well, i think i do...like, center stage more recessed compared to stereo...but with a dynamic foward presence loudness still? you know, when it come to spatiality explanation, i think drawing will be better lol perhaps slight treble roll off stole some air for soundstage too

Penon are on a roll. The Orbs were fantastic . Also the Vortex are a great , underated single DD. A bit bright but the bass is amazing. Respect to their tuning and attention to creating iems that are anti Harman.

I love my Serial. Any recommendations for something with similar bass but a little more treble?

@Sunstealer wow very hard question....since the bass is so unique with those...Um 3DT seem logical sidegrade but bass isnt has beefy at all, sub bass being bit roll off in fact...perhaps Tangzu Zetian but I would wait for upgraded Heyday version, for technical performance upgrade, bass isnt as well layered but hit and rumble hard and upper treble is more detailed...its a single planar...tbh, i dont find anything from my 200 IEMS collection

@Sunstealer The Vortex has faster bass with really good treble. The cable hasn't the best sound. Best to cable roll if that's your thing. The UMT are great also. Penon do bass is like no other so it will be difficult unless you spend £300 plus...
