Great review! So are you saying the Legend has more sub bass and bass impact overall? I’m a little confused because later it sounds like you are saying the Impact has greater bass note weight.

Thanks for pointing that out. I had to revise that paragraph and clean it up a bit. It now reads correct. As much as I regard the Legend and I still think it is one of the best IEMs that the price point the Impacts are clearly a level above them due to all the refinements in comparison.

Great review. Curious as to how this pairs with Penon's Storm cable.

I actually prefer the Totem vs the Storm on this one. Storm cables matches extremely well with the Legends but not so much with the Impacts. Storm cable colors a sound a bit too much and in the case of the Impacts adds a bit too much richness if that is possible, It seems to have greater gold content even over the Totems. The impacts already has a rich tonal character from the get go so the storm cable makes the sound almost syrupy if that makes sense.

Totem enhances the stage of the Impacts and adds a fullness and body to the sounds of the Impacts. The impacts + Totem on a neutral sound source and it sounds marvelous.
