Extremely interesting and good review...but what is a tornado equalizer. Sounds a lot like fancy marketing stuff?

Hi kevingzw, where did you get your pair for USD$35? I am located in Singapore and i'm interested in owning a pair.
Cheers,
Anthony

@thatonenoob it's supposed to be some sort "resonance" filter, cutting unwanted frequencies I believe. The website's google translation is abysmal and it's almost impossible to figure out what the definition of "tornado equalizer".
kevingzw
@skystealth Hi, I bought a pair on Carousell (I got lucky). You can order a pair via Rakuten Global Market (for approximately 44 USD)
skystealth
@kevingzw That's real lucky. I just ordered a pair off Rakuten, looking forward to these pair, your review has given me confidence. Thanks!
kevingzw
@skystealth hope you like them!

Nice review! Did you get it from Carousell? I actually had to import it from E Earphone. Your impressions match mine almost exactly, it's reallya beautiful budget beast. One thing we noticed though, as I'd bought another for a friend, my burnt in pair was able to produce an audibly deeper and punchier subbass range than the one fresh out of the box. This was verified by the 3-4 guys present so seems that my pair, at least, does benefit from burn in.
@thatonenoob the Tornado Equaliser is like a screw with a hollow center. supposedly the phase difference induced by making the sound waves travelling along the 'screw helix' outside with reference to the straight tube inside will generate destructive interference that reduces unwanted resonances.

I just tried these out too - absolutely mind-blowing cost performance. Good review; thanks.
kevingzw
@RedTwilight Yes! I got them on Carousell. Thanks for the detailed explanation. My guess wasn't too far fetched then XD. Yes, I am noticing a slight "forward" bass response after burn in. It is subtle to my ears but it's definitely speedier and tighter without the bloat.
OopsWrongPlanet
The Rakuten link shows something completely different stuff....
kevingzw
@OopsWrongPlanet That is strange. I just checked the link again and you're correct. The product has been removed for some reason (I suspect the reseller has cleared his entire stock). Try E-Earphone instead .

sorry @kevingzw i have to disagree on the description of the sound to a certain extent.
i have the co donguri which @RedTwilight got it for me.
after 300 hours of burn in, it is an average dynamic iem imho. it cannot even beat my pinnacle p1/echobox finder x1/simgot en700 imho after my critical listening sessions.
main sources used were : ak380, qp1r, cayin n5
alternative sources used were: shanling m2/m3, cowon plenue d, ibasso dx80, lp3, cayin i5/n6
it is a good iem for the price but it cannot win those 500-600 usd iem and the 1:10 is kinda unreal.
cheers!

@audio123 That's a fair disagreement. There are obvious weaknesses between the Ocharaku and say, a JH16 (most definitely, especially with more BA's= relegation of seperate frequency bands to each driver).
However, for my go to "reference/female vocal" daily driver, the Ocharaku's are reminiscent of my first pair of mid-range iem's (The ATH-1M02), except the bass is alittle thicker, with a tad more air movement. I listen to mostly to synth-pop, folk/americana and lo-fi'ed recordings (the ocharaku complement's mellower recordings or incredibly unnatural highs of a mini-moog).
I guess the difference stems from differing taste . Oh, and to be fair, I was being slightly facetious (the cheeky BOO to the 500-600 USD IEM's serves as a reminder that when it comes to audio, >price results in diminishing returns).

@kevingzw Hi, if I may ask, which Carousell user you bought it from as I can't seem to find one on Carousell. Thanks.
RedTwilight
CDJapan is carrying it now, shipping may be more reasonable than when I first shipped it in.

@kevingzw OOT but do check out Wagakki Band if you like female vocals!

@xEcuToR Most welcome. =)

Thanks for cdjapan link as well
@RedTwilight I also listen to Wagakki Band. Oh I'm wondering how these will compare to Trinity Phantom 4,6 and Vyrus.

Very interesting review. Quite a mysterious company...
I also saw your review of 1More Triple Driver. Would you choose the Donguri over the triple driver, not taking into account the price difference? Thanks for letting me know.
