Wait, you mentioned Katana is warmer and more intimate than encore? I only listen to Katana for a very short period of time but I don't remember it being warm at all, but yet still warmer than encore? Am I missing something here?
I hear a lot of people say that the Katana is lean and bright. I wonder just how well of a seal those people got. It does have a little more upper frequency presence than the K10, but the bass measured relatively similar. Encore is an airy sounding combination of both, but the overall feel is a little leaner and more neutral than both the K10 and Katana
I also find the Katana to be bright and airy and k10 warm and musical. Tested both numeral times with different eartips and even cables lol ( the benefit of living near a Jaben store) before ending up with the k10. Both are exceptional iems tho it just i think Noble have created this two flagship iems that caters to two very different sound preferences. Thanks for the encore review anyways since i think yours is the only one. (not bothered with the noble forum, since i find there are too much noble fanboys with very limited access to other great iems ;p )
I've choose them over the Katana based on your review alone, it was a risk but no regrets, they are the best IEM I ever listened to, I'm writing this while listing to them, thanks you very much.
