Great review. I m between this and a multidriver (Mangird Tea). I know that its a big difference but what do you think.

KATO is richer sounding than Aria. So, yes, it is an upgrade.

Thanks for bringing your points across well without 17 images of packaging and 20 pages of fillers. Well done.

@Otto Motor thanks a bunch! Still new here and learning to be better
ywheng89
@hawgrider you will enjoy them for sure!

@Balamani hey man, unfortunately I do not have a fh5 for comparison. Sorry about that.
@Gustavo1976 yeah I think they’re in a different category as mangird tea is a multi driver setup, not to say that multi driver is always better but ultimately it depends on the implementation, but then again, they’re different.

Damn, great review man. Picked them up a few hours ago and I’m here for justification of my purchase, and well, I got it!
I’m very very new to the game, but ordered the katos and a btr5 (heard a lot of great things about it) and selling my true wireless sennheiser momentum 2 to replace them with the katos.
I know you said the comfort was good, but do they stick out a lot? I really want to use them under my ski helmet and am worried if it’s gonna be a problem…
Thanks in advance, and again, awesome review!

@Ludvig Nilsson good choice! hehe! you will like them!
They dont really stick out as the size is really small, i did try wearing them when i was riding with my full faced helmet and they stay in just fine, although the seal might probably be a little off when you are wearing the helmet.
Thanks again for reading! Cheers buddy!

@ywheng89 thats exactly the response I was looking for! Now I’m even more eager to get my hands on them!
Keep reviewing things as well as you do, because I believe it helps both the veterans and rookies like me.
Thanks again for the review itself and the response!

Can you tell please few more words about vocal placement? Does it feels recessed/drowned in mix, overshadowed by bass or treble, etc?
p.s
As I understood from review, all music components seems to be more ore less balanced between each other. Just want to be sure.

Hey @Rockcoon ,the vocal feels very balanced. In terms of vocal placement it definitely doesn't sound recessed. Bass and treble they all have very good separation and to my ears they will not overshadow the vocal even during busy track like Slipknot's Duality where there are a lot of instruments playing, the vocal can still be heard very clearly without any signs of congestion.

"Less body in the bass". Kato or Hana has less body? How would you describe the bass on both?
ywheng89
@prawdziwysimone
"Less body in the bass, lacking warmth and body" - HANA 2021
"Warm and well bodied, Realistic kind of bass whereby it is not being emphasized, right amount of quantity" - KATO
