I have a Corda Swing, which immediately preceded the first iteration of the Jazz. Mine dates to 2011, so likely one of the last to be produced.
It may be 10 years old but embodies many of the characteristics of the current Jazz-FF.
As you rightly say, "...a very engaging and analogue like character still full of transparency and precision".
This could certainly describe the older model as well. A very "enjoyable" (in that it is easy to listen to) amp indeed.
Thanks for your very informative and necessary review. Necessary both to spread the word about Dr. Meier's wonderful creations, but also to counteract the ridiculously misguided disinformation peddled by certain other sites.
Thank you very much.
I am still scratching my head why Meier's amplifiers don't attract all the deserved attention.
It must be that he is not into forced marketing like some others are.
This is a great amplifier that I would certainly buy the review unit if my desk wasn't occupied with so many others.
I would buy it anyway. Put it away until such time as you have some space!
Judging by the path the company has declared it is taking going forward, there may not be a Jazz available for that much longer.
But here I speculate.
Considering the price, which most would consider falls into the affordable/budget range, you can likely pull the trigger at your convenience.
Very thoughtful review! Just purchased a Jazz ff and waiting for it to be delivered. Really like
these smaller audio companies where creativity in electrical and industrial design reign
supreme.
