any chance you might be able to compare them to the HM5? I loved the HM5 and if these are an open back version of the same type of sound, thats fantastic

I can compare the two. I had the Digitech (Jaycar) Pro Monitors which are the same thing as the HM5.
Sound signature between the two are very similar. My problem with the HM5 was the ever so slight echo I would hear. Other than that I loved them. With the HF-110, the open back seems to have solved that issue. Resulting in an airier, cleaner tone, without an echo. Bass is also slight down as a result, which is fine with me. I think adding some velour pads to the HF-110 would result in and ever bigger push to neutrality.

I'll also have the NVX Audio XPT100 (another Jaycar/HM5) Clone soon to directly compare. I gave away my Jaycar's to an ex a while back. Big mistake.

Thanks Justin, these seem like an awesome headphone, especially given the differences. I heard there were slight differences between the HM5 and NVX XP100, so am looking forward to your comparison. And The XPT100 come with angled pads as well

Justin - do you have any contacts from the makers of these? I'd really love to be able to get a pair of the open covers (they should fit straight on the HM5s). I asked Brainwavz but they (at the time) weren't looking at an open version. These look perfect though.
