PR2 Will be my first planar IEM, with that I only have dongles like the CX - pro cuz I've only ran with dynamics. I'm eventually gonna buy dacs with 2vrms but I'm wondering how much higher on the volume you go to make PR2 audibly enjoyable?

Damn, I recommended the PR2 with the KZ AZ09 Pro earhooks as a budget TWS solution to a friend who has absolutely no idea about audio, and the order is on its way. You said even the UTWS5 isn't enough to drive these; will my friend be able to get any enjoyment at all with the humble KZ AZ09 Pro??

Good question. I have the Az09 Pro at home, when I get off work I'll try. With he UTWS5 they were just a little flat as far as dynamics goes. I could get them to decent volume though so maybe they will work with the Az09 Pro on high gain or "performance" mode. I will circle back later tonight and let you know.

I just remembered that clicking on the AZ09 Pro left button three times activates like a high gain mode. Would you mind testing that for me too? As my friend is not an audiophile I'm not too worried about sufficient headroom or anything, literally just whether they will get loud enough for her haha. Thank you!

@ext23 just so you know, I tried the PR2 with the Az09 Pro. On High gain it barely gets them to good volume. It is a hard stretch trying to bring the PR2 to a good dynamic sound. Sorry man. The PR2 if stretched to 90/100 volume will get to a decent volume but the sound is pretty flat.

Bummer. Thanks for testing. My friend probably isn't capable of modding the AZ09 connector to take regular 2-pin IEMs, so what would you say would be another decent KZ or recessed 2-pin set she could use with it?
