The G4 looks interesting. I'm still deciding which cables to buy. Do you think the G4 goes well with 7Hz Timeless? How would you rank already tested cables considering the sound improvements and price?
what aspect you want to enhance or you want to boost on the timeless. Its definition/ tonality/ bass/ treble/ mids? all of it? G4 excellent for bass, mids, clean trebles without enhancing it, and most importantly a phones technical ability. Adds some note weight and stage too.
I want them to increase the stage slightly while not enhancing treble. Bass is good as is. Also got recommended the Satin Audio Chimera II. Maybe I'll just try both cables.
You want a brawny bass emphasis warmth greater note weight fullness of sound with better imaging moderate increase in stage? or you want even more expanison of stage sound separation and details with tighter bass. The latter will be the Flow. Former the ISN G4.
You have to ask yourself what aspect of the sound you would prefer to enhance. The EST50 scales amazing with cables. If you feel you want to do a bit of both aspects of how I described what these cables do. You should look into the Penon Mix. Which has both copper and silver for its make up. Does a bit of both aspects of the ISN G4 and the Flow.
These cables don't drastically change the EST50 to be something completely different. But they do however enhance and influence different parts of their sound. Added stage, better perceived detail. better imaging. More brawny bass. G4 definitely will enhance the bass aspect of the EST50. If you feel you would like more treble end vs the bass end that is what a pure silver cable like the Flows will get you.
OK that definitely helps, I actually have been using the Penon mix or similar cable as it was sent with when purchased so not sure if it is it. It's has been an improvement or stock for sure just trying to get all I can out of them. Using with ifi gryphon.
