I just got one, definitely a very nice dongle. Much smaller than I was expecting, given that my last dongle was the Cayin R2R. I’m on iPhone so I can’t use the software settings, which is disappointing. Manufacturers should always put physical controls on these things because one day the software might become outdated and unusable. However, it sounds excellent out of the iPhone and for the cost compared to the other TOTL dongles I cannot complain too much.
Thank you very much for pointing me to the post.
Paul also informed me that the UAC settings are not stored in the DC03 Pro memory and you have to be connected to the UAC in order to make use of them.
I have edited the review to include these information.
I am considering to buy this dongle, however since there is no app for iphone I have doubts about hiss with high gain. It seems with iPhone there is only one setting which is high gain. I have solaris og iems which are quite sensitive. Does anyone use this dongle with iphone and sensitive iems?
With 7Hz Timeless and Koss Porta Pros, no hiss. However the Campfire Audio IEMs tend to be extra sensitive so I can’t guarantee there won’t be hiss with Solaris.
Hey, does your DC03Pro have slightly loose USB port connection when plugged in? When plugged in, cable have quite a bit of movement from the USB port. Wonder if it is QC problem or it is normal for this device.
