This is my first dedicated DAC but have previously owned the Nuforce HDP and iBasso D4. Am just getting into STAX and wanted to go balanced all the way down my chain so needed a no-frills balanced DAC to feed into my balanced SRM-1/Mk2 and the HRT Streamer Pro fit the bill perfectly.
It offers a simple plug and play operation, is small and compact in size, very hardy build quality and does exactly what it is suppose to do i.e. converting digital into analogue signals and that it does very well and unobtrusively.
Highly recommended to anyone looking for a no-frills DAC putting a beginner's balanced setup together.
