Genelec 6020A

General Information

The Genelec 6020A bi-amplified active loudspeaker system is ideal for small and intimate home theaters, multi-media or gaming rooms, as well as for stereo listening environments.

All forms of distortion have been minimized in its design that features Genelec's proprietary die-cast aluminum Minimum Diffraction Enclosure™ (MDE™) technology. The imaging accuracy and low frequency extension achieved with such an extremely compact enclosure are completely unique. Employing Genelec's innovative Directivity Control Waveguide™ (DCW™) the 6020A has an amazingly flat on- and off-axis response, while its long, curved reflex port ends in a wide flare for excellent and precise bass articulation. The loudspeaker system contains an amplification unit, including an active electronic crossover, overload protection circuitry and two power amplifiers, one for each driver.

The 6020A incorporates a 4" bass driver along with a 3/4" tweeter loaded into an advanced Genelec DCW™. Versatile room response controls allow matching of the system to any acoustic environments. The free field frequency response is 66 Hz to 20 kHz (± 2.5 dB). Maximum peak sound pressure level output per pair with music material is 105 dB at 1 m.

The 6020A enclosure has integrated support points and readily available versatile mounting options for all possible installations. Used in both vertical and horizontal orientations, the system can be mounted on walls or ceilings and make ideal side or rear loudspeakers for a Genelec surround system.
