Interesting product for a problem that shouldn't exist in the first place for most users. To be perfectly fair, it seems like a lot of repetitive but also difficult work that you might well go send it back for refitting in the long run.

On the product itself, you did mention strong adhesive. Did it leave any residue? If it does, is it difficult to remove and clean?

I do feel that if you fit a thin soft silicone O-ring on the stems, it will still do the job maybe slightly less comfortable but doesn't need constant replacement or precise installation. Which AURISONIC have done before.

Can the wraps be used with sillicone CIEMs?

@Ra97oR, fitting is a problem that eventually will find any CIEM user, unless you never age or gain/lose weight. Our ears are one part of of the body that will never stop growing, so it is more of an issue on whether the fitting problem finds you first or you stop using your old CIEM first. Some will face the problem sooner than others, while other just move on to something else. Another problem is refitting doesn't always work, as I have seen a person sending his CIEM back at least 4 times and still having problem. It could very well be that he is very unlucky, but it can also be that sometime it is just very difficult to get thing done 100% right when the customer with a particular awkward ear shape is 1000 miles away from the manufacturer. It is all a choice, I guess.

Yes, it does leave some residue after peeling off, but nothing a tissue and a tiny bit of elbow grease can't clean up.

Silicone o-ring will have to be custom designed into the CIEM, I would imagine, for safety reason - it will be a big liability if the o-ring falls out after it get greased up by earwax and stuck inside the ear canal. Could be one of the reason by AURISONIC stops using it. I just guess here.

@shakur1996 It is designed for hard shell, as far as I know. It might not adhere to silicone surface that well, which could become a problem.

I have noticed on my recent IEM's, Inearz are starting to build up where a comply wrap would go, and it's awesome because it makes the fit perfect

Having had some fit problems with my first ever customs and then experiencing ongoing loss of seal with certain movements even after the main issue was fixed, this sounds like an awesome idea - thanks for sharing, ClieOS!!

Thanks for this. I will try these with my Lab 1 to get a secure fit back from the silicon tips. An alternative use for an interesting product...

Might be useful to test up universal demo for CIEM unit.

I received a demo pair and have yet to try an installation - most of my customs fit well - but I thought I might try to see if there could be an increase in seal - I appreciate the picture that you included for an idea of positioning.
