Yeah I like the battery curcuit function. ..I bought a Mojo about ten days ago but didn't yet open it, (long story). I will be most likely using the Mojo at my desktop 90% of the time. I will only turn the Mojo when I need audio. Whereas with my curent Meridian Explorer which is constantly plugged in, it means I can't turn it off. ....Also I did read that the Mojo battery is connected by a connector to the unit. The Hugo apparently had the battery cables soldered to the board. (Check that out though.)

Thanks @GreenBow, same here, I will be using the Mojo as a DAC on my desktop most of the time, my concerns about the battery are solved since it won't be using battery cycles if is full and connected to the charger.

Couldn't contain myself and ordered one. Love the idea of also taking it with me for holidays with my IEM.

Using an Arcam irDAC at the moment and I have to say is really good, but even if the gains from the mojo are minimal still a better option since it works with android devices and also is mobile.

@reihead The Mojo doesn't have a seperate amp like traditional setups. It's basically the line out from the DAC full time and the 'line level' setting is just a shortcut to 3V. The volume balls control the analogue section's voltage output but there is no seperate amp.

x RELIC x:  Great review!  I enjoyed reading it.  I'm also interested in the MoJo because my ALO CDM isn't as portable as I would like given the size.  How does the Mojo compare with the CDM?

@cj3209 thanks! I haven't heard the CDM so I really can't add any perspective. I've read that the CDM adds some nice tube sound, but it really wouldn't be more 'accurate'. Different flavours. Mojo DAC would slaughter the CDM DAC section though I've heard that ALO has done very well with the WM8741 (as well as you could for an off the shelf solution).

How did you connect the Mojo to the HA-1?  I have both and am interested in trying your configuration.

Better with pioneer xdp 100r or with iPod touch

Seems to me this is mostly an alternative to a DAP, since pretty much everyone has a smart phone already. Is there any benefit to hooking a standalone DAP up to it over a smartphone, sound-wise? From what I understand, the Mojo hooked up to a smartphone outperforms DAPs of pretty much any price category?

Hi, I really need to know how mojo + LCD 2 sounds? i mean is it fun with EDM and current songs top songs?

@Mojo777, yes I used a 3.5mm to RCA stereo cable. Works great.

@f4phantom2500, yes, the source really doesn't matter to my ears if you are feeding the Mojo a clean bit-perfect signal. I think the capabilities of the Mojo are better than any DAP I've heard. I know the measurements are extremely hard to beat.

@rechtkid, see my above reply. I'll add that optical input does not suffer from RF noise and is my preferred input to the Mojo. Rob Watts also prefers optical input.

@twiceboss, I think I was pretty clear in my review that the LCD-2 sounds great with the Mojo. Personally I don't listen to much EDM or current top songs so I can't really speak about those genres specifically.

xRELICx, As a newcomer to Head-Fi, I find the quality of reviews  like yours to be stellar.  They draw me in into more reading and exploring the forums, but I don't know when I'll get to posting. Before I post a comment (usually a question at this stage), I find myself digging in the forums for an answer You commented about the quality of the  accessories that came with the Mojo and I had questions about that.  Is is correct that the Mojo comes with just the short USB to Android charging cable? Also, you mentioned this: "It seems as though Chord is planning on making accessories for the Mojo to expand its capabilities but I'll refrain from any details until they officially announce them."  Has any more information come out about this?  Thanks, McClelland

@McClelland thank you for the kind words. To answer your questions:

1) Yes, the only accessory is a very short USB cord to connect to a computer or wall wart for charging. As far as I know it is not a USB OTG cable for connecting to Android devices. That is a specific USC cable with pins 4 and 5 shorted to tell the device to be used as a USB host or slave.

2) The first accessory is an add on that makes it more manageable to use the Apple CCK (Camera Connection Kit) that is required to use an iOS device with the Mojo. It will also include a USB OTG cable as well. The other accessories aren't officially announced but one is rumoured to be a Bluetooth accessory and another an SD card accessory with a small screen to make the Mojo an all in one portable unit. This last one was mentioned by John Franks in an interview, but very little detail is know about it.

For a wealth of information you can check the Mojo thread's third post.

Please tell me x RELIC x how Mojo sound vs Fiio X5 -first generation?
x RELIC x
x RELIC x
@Adu, the X5 first generation player is a good device for it's price, but the Mojo is a different level. Mojo is overall the better sounding device.

And it is so versatile.  I've experimented with mine in the car running into the AUX input, as a desktop DAC while awaiting a Gumby/MJ2 combo, even ran a small Bose SoundLink III through it and the SQ benefits are consistent and striking to me.  Everything is smoother and more coherent and the sound floor disappears in low-grade systems that otherwise have some level of noise evident when not playing a file.  I wish the AUX input in the car was optical . . . actually I should find out whether it might be, but I doubt it.
