CCA CA24
INTRODUCTION:
CCA has been one of the longstanding brands of IEM in the audio market, a sister company of KZ. Newbies in the hobby may have had stumbled on some CCA units. The CCA CA24 is the newest offering from the CCA company. The CA24 offers 12 Balanced Armature Units per Side of the i.e.m. hence the 24 Balanced Armature count. Join me as we investigate this exciting IEM!

Drivers: Black Gold King Kong Series 24 BA (12 Balanced Armatures in each side)
Frequency response: 10 Hz – 40,000Hz
Impedance: 30 Ω

Cable: QDC (0.75mm) port cable 200 cores silver plated.

SOUND SOURCE:
I used the CCA CA24s on my Shanling M3X, on dual DAC and high gain mode. As for the Player Applications, I circled around the Hiby Music App with MQA enabled, as well as the Build-in Shanling App, and at times venturing for a Tidal Playlist via UAPP app. I used the standard ear tips that were included with the CCA CA24s, as well as the stock cables, then cable rolled to a TACable Obsidian with 4.4 Balanced Jack.
BUILD QUALITY/COMFORT
The CCA CA24 has an identical shape with that of the KZ AST 24 BA IEMS. Instead of the full Zinc Alloy front panel like the KZ AST, the CCA CA24 has a mixed structure of Zinc Alloy and black Plastic Front panel design. The CA24’s resin is opaque but still you can see the Bas inside, the ASTs had a clear see through one though. The CA24 is a bit heavy due to the structure and weight of the BAs’ and the Zinc Alloy casing, this may prove a bit discomfortable in prolonged usage. The resin mold conforms to the ear lining and may fit most of the users.
MY SUBJECTIVE IMPRESSIONS:
Disclaimer: I tend to love warm sound signatures with focus on the mids clarity of the vocals. you can say that I am a bit of a bass-head as well as a loud head, ramping the volume of my M3X up to 50-85. I also generally listen to alternative, punk, rock, and classical music playlists. I am not an audiophile, and my taste would tend to reflect an average consumer user to an enthusiast level.
BASS
The Bass is very warm, textured and there is an extended rumble. It has good bass detail and minor rumble feels, as well as being fast and a bit tight. It does have a bit of a bleed in the mid bass. I can say that the bass that it provides is rather fun and energetic.
MIDS
The mids are somewhat laid back and a bit recessed in some tracks, in the Taylor Swift Exile Song, the male and female vocals shine and are upfront, since the track has less bass delivery, therefore the CCA CA24s’ can shine in acoustic and classical genres.
TREBLES
The trebles feel a bit bright and may drive into the near sibilant regions. The cymbals were fast and tight. It has a good and average extension.
SOUNDSTAGE AND IMAGING
The sound stage feels below average, it may be veiled by the slight mid bass bleed. Imaging is average too; you can still distinguish the instrumentations. The sound seems to be coming from a medium to a large sized room.
CONCLUSION
For $127 USD this can be a good and fun sounding I.E.M.. The sound quality and detail is nice, and decent enough. I liked the overall bass delivery of the CA24s. Overall, my experience was quite enjoyable and FUN.
