General Information

The DT 660 is a closed headphone that attenuates ambient noise effectively and no sound from the headphone will be heard either. The DT 660 features a most sophisticated sound with a detailed reproduction of the deepest bass and brilliant highs. The 90? swivelling ear-cups and softer yet sturdy materials for the headband and the ear pads ensure outstanding levels of comfort. The fold-away design makes it easy to store and transport. The DT 660 is still manufactured in Germany providing an excellent quality.

Pros: Nice tonal balance, great mids, soundstaging, imaging, isolation, comfort
Cons: Somewhat recessed bass
This is a truly great closed-back headphone with natural open and airy sound suited perfectly for large orchestras, chamber music, acoustic jazz etc. The isolation is really great both in and out. Compared to similarly priced closed-back ATH-M50 a lot better isolation. DT660 is very easy to drive. It sounds fairly good from an android phone and even better from a computer. The bass is much better when driven by a real headphone amp.

Pros: Very Good Sound, Natural and Flat Sound, For Classical and Jazz Music
Cons: Is not suitable for every type of music, may sound a bit harsh highs
I bought the product 3 months ago.  Beyerdynamic DT660 Premium Edition is fantastic headphone.  Very natural sound for the price. İt has flat sound but dont tired of listening to music. May sound a bit harsh treble. Give yourself time to get used to your ears. According to closed headphones, with fairly large stage. DT660 has a larger scene and bigger than DT770. DT 660's isolation is considered good enough.
I would definitely recommend it for classical music, instrumental music, jazz and rock music...
