Beats PowerBeats3

Headphones and Coffee

Previously known as Wretched Stare
Bass cannons
Pros: Stays on ears with hook very securely, that Beats club style sound Deep Vshaped signature.
Cons: Price, build quality for some. Bass might be too much to those sensitive too it.

Let me start by saying these were one in a contest I didn't pay the $149 they are selling for new or used price. My thanks to https://centralsound.co/
Opening the box its a nice experience as I would expect from an Apple product.
Tips and a charging cable are included as well as a weird rubber case and a apple sticker.
The Powerbeats 3 support AAC only I would have liked aptX or higher but I see many are doing this for some reason.
Construction is all plastic with a rubberized ear hook and a cable connecting the two parts that has the remote and microphone. Call quality was superb and the range was probably the best I've seen even in full sized BT headphones. Comfort was better than average and isolation was average depending on the tip you use, I personally switched them out for some Spinfits then found Dekoni tips to work better. I can see fit being a big problem for people with larger or smaller ears but I think foam should remedy this.

Sound:

Bass Its Deep with great authority, mid bass and sub bass are elevated but remain clear not thick, I was impressed by this as I own a few with more bass but its gets to muddy or fatiguing fast. It presented itself well here.

Mids recessed as you would expect from a Vshaped signature but the vocals are forward and warm not too bad here I have heard far worse.

Highs: the treble is sparkly with some derails, it can be splashy at times but not overly so.

Soundstage: about average, has a width but is shallow can seem a little unnatural at times.

Conclusion.
These are fun and rich sounding, defiantly not for everyone. Fans of Bass that aren't too critical would like these. I find them enjoyable for active use and I like the fit and look of them too. If you can get these for cheaper Why not. Far better than the BeatsX and powerbeats 2. I would love to see support for LDAC on the next ones.
