Review:
I’m just gonna be straight up and cut to the chase. This is the greatest Iem I have ever listened to in my life and I’ve heard a lot of TOTL Iems. I’ve been holding off writing a review because I just don’t even know where to begin.. The Aura strikes a balance between musicality and clarity That I’ve never heard before, you can visualize what’s happening in the music like you’re truly in the music.. It can get very surreal at times the way it pulls you in but once you start it’s hard to stop . There has been so many times where I have said out loud OK one more song and then I’m done just to be pulled in by 10 more in a row.. There has literally been points in time where I had to take them out stare at them and say .. "How is this even possible”? I’ve never heard such a balance between musicality and resolution. The highs are so crisp and detailed The mid range is forward with so much emotion that feels lush, but sounds crazy transparent and the bass when called for has a nice full punch to it I’m so happy they went with a duel DD for the bass and left everything else to their high-quality Ba’s.
The treble is so sparkly and airy the detail that comes through Aura is nothing short of breathtaking.. Funny they named it Aura because I truly feel as there is an aura around the music when I’m listening to it.. soundstage is nothing crazy very average, but I don’t care because the engagement and emotion this Iem brings to my soul is out of this world on top of that the comfort is great/light and it looks classy 👌I can’t speak highly enough of Aura! What an achievement by Vision ears ! Only shame is that it’s a limited run making it hard to find, wish more people could get their ears on this and get to know this beautiful gem 10/10 🏆

Empire Ears Raven
Pros: Extremely Immersive
Bass/slam
Clarity/details
High resolution
Toetapping fun
Comfort
Cons: 2pin tightness/careful with cable removal
Shell size large
Expensive..but not overpriced compared to the market
The Empire, Ears, Raven has been highly anticipated for a while, and as I had some doubts to how good it could possibly sound.. I was pleasantly surprised
(Resolution)
The resolution of the raven is downright spectacular. Clarity and instrument separation is up there with the best that I’ve heard and I am hearing things in the music that I have not heard before and it goes into every genre so I can attest that the resolution is apparent with added texture on every sound and very easily reaches the standards worthy of the TOTL price tag
(Bass)
The bass is one that you might notice first it is beyond satisfying! Enough to feel it in your body I always enjoyed the sub bass up of the Odin but the raven takes it to another level with some welcoming extra midbass it is extremely detailed and never loose it really adds a big fun factor to this Iem and the slam left me jaw dropped, hip-hop songs, and edm can get really wild on the raven
(Mids)
The mids I thought we’re going to be a weak point due to headphones shows impression but that is far from what I’m hearing. The Mids are beautiful! Not to forward but not recessed whatsoever they are clear as a bell and very emotionally involving certain artists will have easy access to pulling tears from your eyes, or make you sing along. I was pleasantly surprised in this department
Not as forward as a Mason/Phoenix or Bird but not as recessed an Xe6. Fits evenly in the middle
(Soundstage)
The soundstage on the Raven is HUGE and feels like what you would think surround sound would be like but in your ears. Very impressive possibly the most I’ve ever heard but doesn’t sacrifice anything else the soundstage is a big wow factor with this Iem every genre sounded open wide with extreme depth and a musical aura enveloping me in each track I tested
(Treble)
The treble on the raven is detailed airy and sparkly with a very satisfying amount of it and some tracks really made me get chills from the sheer detail of the treble what I personally love is that it was never painful. It got all the way to the point of surpassing satisfaction, but never hit that S or T to make me wince
(Conclusion)
The raven while being very anticipated and hyped, but also polarizing has finally came out and knocked me out of my shoes. I am very grateful to have this one in my collection. It fits beautifully, and I really hope more people can spend some time with it

When compared to the annihilator, not quite matching the amount of treble but it went toe to toe in resolution clarity and instrument separation, but then surpassed it in bass (especially slam) , depth/soundstage and the textures within each instrument I love both of these iems big time

Compared to the xe6 while not having as much warmth and bass the Raven held its own in terms of detail within that bass but clarity separation and mids are a big win for the raven but don’t get me wrong xe6 still has its special sauce
The raven is very special and does infact sound like the proper improvement to the Odin I was hoping for. I’m excited to keep spending more time with it. If you’re looking to get one and have the money I would totally go for it as it is possibly at the top of every totl iem I have tried, which is a lot but don’t get me wrong Most of them are very special in their own way. The raven is really sticking out to me as a champ at this time :)

Someone should tell Empire Ears how wrong it is to make IEMs with a 2 ohms impedance when most of the DAPs out there have 1 to 2 ohms output impedance.

You love gold iems huh? 😅

Obviously they miss the point that gold iem pair perfectly with Sony. Gold brick and gold iems are perfect match.

Xe6<Raven. Raven=Anni. If you are a treble head Anni>Raven If you are a bass head Raven>Anni Both Anni and Raven are top notch technicalities. I would give the edge to Raven. However, nothing is going to beat the treble on the Anni.

Unless Elysian Labs wants to make a bassier version of the iem. Hopefully the lessons learned from the Noid can be applied to the next Elysian Labs flagship.

To me EE has one of if not the best bass in the business. Might be a BCD thing. It is nice to feel the rumble but not loose the technicalities.

Cayin n7
Pros: Amazing analog clarity and detail
Good operating system for a dap
big soundstage
Can be used as a standalone dac
Feels solid nice case
Nice knob
Cons: Big and heavy
After listening and testing the N7 I’ve come to the conclusion that it is possibly the best sounding portable device I’ve ever heard, especially coming from Bluetooth devices such as a BTR7 or go blue
I figured taking a nice leap forward instead of messing around with entry daps the n7 would save me a lot of stress and money going through $500 daps and I’m glad I made the jump and got it over with
I did some comparisons with the cord mojo, and the dethonray honey since I figured those are the closest competitors to it that I own

Between the n7 and mojo was a little embarrassing for the mojo. It got blown out, and I noticed it right away The soundstage resolution layering and detail was a good step above very noticeable
The Dethonray honey was a little more close, the honey was definitely on the smoother side with not quite as much Sounds Stage, clarity and resolution but was still close to as enjoyable in comparison
I used the VE Phoenix, the empire ears Odin the Elysian Gaia, the fir Xe6 the Noble Ragnar and orioles isabell for my testing they all sounded amazing no complaints of synergy it gets along with everything and definitely made everything sound more on the analog side
Amazing dap highly recommended if you don’t mind carrying a big boy in ya pocket enjoy 😁🎶🎼🎵🎤🎧🎸🥁🎹🎺🎻🎷🪗🪇🪈🪕🪘
