100+ Head-Fier
Pros: Sound, Comfort, Lightweight, Build quality
Cons: Price, Blink Blink looks might not suit everyone
I've own most Audio Technica Portables (es7, esw9, esw10jpn, m50) and some other phone (Denon a100, tried Ultrasone 780 & 580). And This is by far my best choice. This may not be as good as esw10 but it is much more comfortable. Unlike esw10 that has huge amount of clamping force, es10 pads sits lightly on your ears. Other than that the build quality in this non limited edition seems more sturdy than the esw10, I think the Denon A100 also have worse build quality compared to this, so I think this is my perfect portable phone: Sturdy, lightweight, comfortable, and beautiful (this may vary).

The sound is also not that bad; I think it sounds great; well it's sounds more consumer oriented compared to esw10. While ESW10 sounds much more natural and seems to be the "reference" quality for portable phone. This phone offers much more fun; it sounds more like m50 than to ESW10 mainly I think is due the bass quantity; Despite that I think it sounded better than m50, it has more bass extension and stronger mids. the bass might be boomy but it never dominates the rest of the spectrum like on other bassy phones. Despite that It also offer great extension and detail on bass. The midrange is what makes it an Audio Technica phones, warm and lush; though it might recess a bit on  poorly recorded track. Soundstage is still small, a bit bigger than AT es line but smaller than A100. Separation is a bit poor compared to esw10, maybe due to bass. Headphone amplifier isn't a requirement but it does scale well; it gain more benefit compared to the old 42 mm AT driver. Nevertheless it's a great phone !

Some Updates, after few days using receiver as source I feel there are noticeable driven when driven by mp3 player that amp is just so so, I'm thinking of buying some Fiio or changing DAP

Pros: Sounds, Price, Portability, Looks
Cons: needs recabling
I paid 25 bucks for this phone, which makes it stupidly good value. Best Bang for the buck phone. Quite comfy so you can use it for quite a long time. Sounds is quite awesome, not 200$ awesome sound but for less than 50$, it is really great sound. Bass is quite strong, not so boomy and it is actually quite well defined. Mid  not solid but quite good. Well, it has Sennheiser house sound, dark, bit veiled, strong bass, and laid back ... I'm bit love the coloring of Audio Technica so not really my cup of tea, but I can live with it for a while. I may choose phone this over es7 though. Overall, it sounds good, does nothing wrong, and very cheap.

Pros: Comfort, Looks, Soundstage
Cons: Sound quality, Price, Almost identical to cheaper model
The cup is a beauty, and I believe that's a fact. aesthetic wise it looks very good, it is a thing that can turn people's head ..... no ... not away, but to you or at least that's what I feel. so,  I vouch for this phone to be the best looking phone ever, well apart from edition 8 LE which I'm not sure if those are portable or not. And I would also vote this to be the most comfortable portable phone ever. Just couldn't think of anything better. The leather is so soft, it feels like ... well ... a leather. a high quality one, and it sits just right around your ear with adequate clamping force that also feels right. Isolation is pretty good, I can hear no background sound on loud public area.
Build quality is good, though the plastic band is kinda worrying, It just doesn't feel sturdy enough. And you got no carrying case with it. The packaging box is nice though but what's the use of a box ... I'd be happier if I got a good carrying case/

Now about the sound .... it's good. just not good enough for me. I'm not really an audiophile but I feel it's nowhere compared to similarly priced ath esw10jpn; Yes, the sound stage is bigger but the treble, the mid and the bass is just sounds dull to me. Well not exactly dull but just not really exciting, treble feels a bit harsh, and so does the mids, wait ... well not really, the mids is just fine .. a bit recessed, quite smooth and solid and thick but on some recording feels quite thin, mostly on rock, but it does great job on jazz and classical. so ... about the problem .... It's not really blaring mistake but I just feel it kind of lacking refinement. The bass is not deep enough, It mostly stays in mid bass and sometimes it feels a bit boomy. the sound is not bad but it doesn't feel as refined for which which at this price point I expect it to be. I just It's just not as exciting as esw10jpn. Or maybe I just simply love AT house sound better than Denon's

100+ Head-Fier
Pros: Fast, detailed, more transparent- Capable driver
Cons: Lack of body, Build quality is questionable
To begin with, i don't know what Sony was thinking but creating this for DJ headphone is totally wrong.
It's not about the sound, but the body are too Plasticky and doesn't seem to be durable and the cups are actually open which mean that it doesn't have noise reduction at all.
Build quality for these phones are bad. it doesn't seem to use good material, the cups looks easy to break and I've seen lots of review in amazon mention design flaw that will broke the band ... Ah also everytime you move your head, it gives you cracking sound which is for me very disturbing.
Despite all that; the sound is fantastic for me (for 45 bucks headphone), i prefer this a lot rather than akg k701 or ath ad700. Doesn't mean that it is better than those two but i just like this better. It has adequate soundstage which is not too big like in akg k701 (so you don't feel the intimacy of listening to headphones). Treble extension are very good, it's nice and precise, i feel kind of sweet, at some point can be harsh too however compared to higher end headphones, and this is not verybright as in the ath ad 700. As for detail i feel it is more detailed than ad700 even more than my esw10jpn (well this is portable so...) but not as detailed as k701 though.
Ah, you don't really need an amp for these though amping (tried with my a/v receiver - onkyo tx-sr506 and it sounds better, more weight in the bass and treble extensions) does bring the "better" out of them but i don't think any phones below 250$ worth amping (and i got this for 45$), however when i use Ipod touch 4g to listen to this i feel it is more lean rather than running these from ipod classic 5g.
Bass is deep but is lacking in the mid bass part and therefore, i feel like the sounds is losing a bit of body.
I got this for 45$ used which to me is a very good deal (i think 96 new and + tax which is about 103$ shipped) and i think for 45$ one's can't argue much for better sound than these.
