First Impressions of the Qudelix T71 & T71 IEM Pairing
This is my first time writing a review, and I couldn’t have picked a better item to start with. While I don’t consider myself a "true" audiophile, I know what sounds good to me. My approach here will be straightforward—focusing solely on the Qudelix T71 and its paired T71 IEM.Overview
Verdict: 100% falls into the "DIS GOOD!" category.
Key Specs:
- Core Processor: NXP iMXRT600 ARM + DSP Core
- DACs: Four ES9219C SABRE HiFi® DACs
- Amps: Two Texas Instruments INA1620
- Outputs: Unbalanced (4V RMS, 3.5mm), Balanced (8V RMS, 2.5mm/4.4mm)
- Battery: 4-10 hours (1000mAh)
- Audio Modes: 2.0 Stereo (384kHz/32-bit), 7.1 Surround (96kHz/32-bit)
- EQ: 20-band PEQ/GEQ
Unboxing
The T71 comes in simple packaging with a thoughtful bundle:
Tips: Spinfit and foam options (didn’t test as I have plenty).
- Accessories: Rubber bands, USB-C to USB-C cable, and USB-C to Lightning cable.
The cables are sturdy but a tad short for my liking.
- 8mm Graphene Dynamic Driver
- Three Sonion BA Drivers
- High-density 3D-printed shell
Sound and Features
The standout feature is the T71's ability to unlock 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound. Content from Disney+, Netflix, Apple Music (Spatial Audio), and Tidal becomes immersive, delivering a home-theater-like experience directly to your ears.
Out of the box, the IEMs sound fine, but the magic happens when you use the Qudelix 20-band EQ to tune them. Pair that with surround content, and you’ve got a cinematic experience in your pocket. I can particularly see this being a game-changer for folks on long flights, pairing it with an iPad or other content consumption device.
The included Chrome Extension Web App adds incredible flexibility, allowing for precise EQ adjustments, surround sound, and Hi-Res 2.0 modes. Gamers will also appreciate the NSW mic mode for voice chat, though toggling it on manually through the Chrome Extension is a minor drawback.

Portability and Versatility
The T71 case is a game-changer for iPhone users, with a magnetic snap design compatible with Qi-charging devices. It’s portable, powerful, and feature-rich—an excellent AIO solution for most use cases (though Bluetooth is notably absent).Final Thoughts
While the T71 is an impressive DAC/AMP on its own, the pairing with the T71 IEM completes the experience. The surround sound capability and customizable EQ make it a standout product. For $229 (T71) and $232 (T71 IEM), it’s not cheap, but it’s an investment in versatility and immersion.TL;DR
The Qudelix T71 and T71 IEM are a dream pairing for those seeking a portable, customizable, and immersive audio experience. Think "baby Fugaku"—and enjoy every minute of it!Attachments

This is by far my favorite dongle dac. It would be perfect if it had bluetooth in my opinion.

To me the main problem with the Qudelix T71 is the lack of connectivity with a home theater. I have had the T71 since late 2023 and it's an amazing device, sound quality second to none. And I would happy to buy the IEM, but for what? I'm not going to watch movies on my PC or my Mac. As for Dolby Atmos on Apple Music and other services, that's good, but I really doubt that this IEM is going to sound better than my Audio Technica ATH-MSR7bBK headphones.
Qudelix needs to find a way to make the T71 connectable to a home theater receiver, perhaps in the way of an HDMI to USB-C adapter that follows that spec that computers have. Most decent receivers these days have an extra HDMI output, or 4K Blu-ray players usually have two HDMI outputs, one just for audio, so it would possible to plug it in there, and enjoy the movie in Dolby Atmos. If that was available, I would spend the money in the IEM.
