Pros: Sound quality
Cons: Previous price
Called me crazy after I have had so much "not so good" experiences with AKG headphones, from K701 to recently K554, K501. My ears were badly hurt by recent ear infection but I still put my bet on this pair of headphones
They do not disappoint at all. All these bass, though restrained and subtle, all show up.

Pros: Clear high band, acceptable mid tone
Cons: Absolute lack of bass
Well, the infamous K550 was there. Big, comfort at an incredible price. I had to wait for one week before I got mine so I put it on.
Absolutely better than K701 I had a while ago. However, the overall quality is killed by zero presence of the bass. Where have they gone?

I assume you didn't wait for them to burn in, did you?

Pros: Comfort
Cons: Everything else especially the sound
This is stylish headphone ever made, elegant and comfort. Thousands of reviews are are out there and it could not be wrong but...every time I put them over my ears, I had to tolerate the sound. It is very comfortable to wear. The sound is terrible. There is this echo from everywhere which jammed not only the bass and middle band but also diminishes upper end. The only explanation will be my ears are too small for them.

What were you driving them with? Not straight out of a portable player or laptop right?

Did you burn them in - they are meant to take ages. Also are they amped properly??

Pros: Great sounds, great price
Cons: Powered EQ,
I was looking for its cousin WR700 and I spot this beauty, lying quietly next to WR700. It is well built with leather. The cable, though not detachable, has an extension wire to use with desktop amp, is also well built.
Sound is terrific, crystal clear than any other thing and very comparable to HD650. The vocal / midband is so sweet that there was one time I could barely believe what I heard. 300ohm impedance is a challenge to most of my mobile amps....but not to desktop.
The worst thing will be the cable which is not detachable and also has a powered  EQ. I wonder why TDK has to do this..rather than putting a small amp instead.

Pros: Sound
Cons: Design, longevity
Thrilled by my excellent Sennheiser HD-200, I bought this via an online dedicated supplier at a special discounted price. It was a great disappointment in sound right from the first moment, poorly paired up with my then iRiver H340 or iPod Classic
That must be caused by the relatively loosened plastic frame supporting the ear tubs...and I really need a very powerful amp to drive the units.
Other build quality things came years later. As long as I have always been a Sennheiser fan, I had expected it to happen.

Pros: Subtle and detailed sounds, great price
Cons: build quality
This is my very first portalble amp, ever after my purchase of the great TDK ST-800. Results are surprisingly good and capable of driving my older Sennheiser HD overheads and the newer ST800
Too bad the left channel died quickly. The first solution was to change to a newer DIY silvery cable. However, the second came too soon and could not be saved with two more cables.
