New Head-Fier
A Decent Low Budget Solution for Folks Looking for OK Performance at Bargain Prices
Pros: For the Price:
Clarity is decent.
Somewhat resolving...again for the price
Pretty much V shaped, but slightly different tuning for KZ...so OK Funzo
Their speed is decent, but not in the same ball part of something like a Tin Hifi T2.
There's little sibilance
Not fatiguing
Easy to power
Somewhat Cohesive
Cons: So not to piss on these too hard since they are $20ish bucks:
The bass is bloated
They lack layering
Smearing is pretty bad
Narrow soundstage
Cable is a crap
They don't scale well to higher power sources. They can get quite hissy.
Not a real electostat driver. It's similar to the Magentostat in the Tape IEMs
10 second read.

Bass: punchy but bloated

Midrange: it's boosted some but still maintains a V shape

Treble: Is rather weird, It's boosted in some frequencies but rolled off at the top. Typical of the tricks lower end manufacturers use to add the sense of detail. If you listen close, these aren't very detailed...but again passable for $20ish bucks.

Don't believe the hype train. There's a lot of hypetrain youtubers that claim these beat better gear. Probably one of the worst examples I've seen recently is: . They beat the Sundara in detail retrieval? Come on! Join the fun in his comments! :D Anyway, as usual Crinacle gave his take , which is accurate to my ears also...and yea, about that "electrostat" driver...Crin explains.

So buy the ZEX if you want to blow away even the highest end TWS out there, using something like a BTR5 or even KZ AZ09 Pro....however don't expect true audiophile performance.

Najam: Neutral tuning, real electrostatic driver 😁😂

Yea, we can laugh about it...but unfortunately Najam can get more than 4k subscribers by claiming complete uninformed BS...there's one comment thread on that video where he argues with someone who appears to be an engineer...hilarious...Youtube is making us a world of complete simps.

@IEMgineer reading the comments section out there, he insist that ZEX uses a Electrostatic drivers like Shuoer, those IEM didn't even use ESTs, he doesn't know that the difference between EST and magnetostats, at least Shuoer uses a Magnetostats from TDK.
