I like the analytical sound with a lot of detail. I even found the Flamingo with more detail. Maybe it is the fault of the connected amplifiers. In my opinion, this can be considered a minus point. For others, though, its musicality is a plus. A matter of taste.
As for not remembering the filter, I'll try it again. But when I turn off the DAC I also unplug it from the power supply. Maybe that's the reason. I have all my audio devices connected to a power strip with a switch and when I don't use it I turn the switch to OFF.

I have the previous X8 and oddly enough, that one does "remember" the filter setting!
