Given their inherent openness, of course they'll trump the W5000 on classical. However, there is no denying the W5000 is one of the closed back kings of classical. All of Audio Technica's cans are vastly different, even comparing the W1000X to the W5000 is apples and oranges.

^ yeap, and honestly I didn't like teh AD 2000X, I had it for a week... and compared to my DT 880 I found it to sound kinda under whelming.
