Thinking of getting the beats by dre
I'm no expert on bass heavy phones, but I've heard the Monster Beats, and I didn't like them, especially for $300. For $300, you can get much better headphones. I can't really recommend too much on what you want, but I liked the new closed can Shures when I listened to them at CanJam. I...- jfourc

Vinyl + TT maintenance
I will be receiving a Rega Planar 3 with an Elys cart soon. I'm also probably going to get the Cambridge 640p. What are some supplies that I should get to properly maintain a table and records? Some suggestions for websites on how to properly set up a table and maintain it would be nice as well...- jfourc

Just opened up my amp. I think I may have found the problem. Seems like there is a loose ground wire that was never soldered. I'll check it out.- jfourc

REVIEW: Audiotailor “Jade” Vacuum Tube Headphone Amplifier
So, I got my fully upgraded Jade today, but I think there's something wrong with it: 1. There is a noticeable hum coming from the amp. The left headphone out has more hum than the right headphone out. Also, the high impedance setting generates more hum than the low impedance setting, and...- jfourc

Best DIY Tube amp for Price to performance?
The Elekit TU882 seems to be getting some buzz recently, but I've never heard it myself so you will need to do some research on it. Skylab did a review of it that you might want to look into. I think it's $440 including everything.- jfourc

USPS used to be a rock for me
Well...between UPS, USPS, and FedEx, that's pretty much all the carriers in the US... DHL is the other one, but they suck even more and they don't even do domestic shipping anymore in the US. At that size, it's kind of a waste of money to go with the 1080p. There is no HDTV content at 1080p. The only thing that is really 1080p is Blu-ray, and it's very hard to tell the difference at that size between 1080p and 720p. And the whole issue with blacks. Plasma would be the way to go...- jfourc
