for the same price, i much prefer desktop system.. everything little sound come out from my desktop just sounds better than my trans-protable system, even they are about the same price.

yeah, i think a short (say 0.4~5m) vampire/jenna will just fit the bill to be honest I don't quite notice there is a HUGH different with different cables, BUT there is a difference, just not much. if bugget is tight, just get the cheaper one.

all I can say is, portable device can never compare with full size device, the choose is up to you now.

Try the Stock Denon D2000 first, from what I read they are bassy but not muddy, the 2Move should drive them fairly good!

are you looking at close of open headphone? if you like the Senns, better stick with it, maybe HD600(natural sound) or HD650(if you want more bass and smoother sound), but you will be a proper amp for thme, so I'll say buy HD600 and spend the rest for an amp
