my son receiving his audiologist test in the hospital at 1 day old last week. He passed. My akg's are no longer safe.

all cables confirmed. tubes confirmed. when i turned it on for the first time, there was a electric snapping pop sound once. then the tubes started glowing. then i pressed play, and nothing. no hum, no sound at all. what gives?
