    Knowledge Zenith (KZ) impressions thread

the cable has an R and an L (really hard to see on the clear plastic), and then there's really only one way to connect things that would actually fit in your ears the right way, so i don't think that's the issue, sadly. the pair i have that aren't working right actually don't sound terrible...

    Knowledge Zenith (KZ) impressions thread

question that might have been answered already, but there's a lot of thread to search: I have a pair of ZS10 Pros that seem to have some issue with muffled bass. I don't see any blockages in any of the vents. Is there anywhere else I should look? I have two other pairs that work just fine...

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread

(search for this thread isn't working, so forgive me for asking this, as I'm sure it's been asked many times before) does anyone still do custom reshelling on TF10s?

Bus rider with tired ears - help me ditch my iphone headphones

i agree with the comments about how you need isolation, for exterior noise, and for the ability to listen at lower volumes.  not only will it help your ears, but it will help your overall fatigue level.  (to test this, try riding to work with just ear plugs one morning.  cutting out all those...

The bassist IEM's you have ever heard Put Them Here!!!

gonna echo batpig: Munitio Teknines.  they're borderline ridiculous.  but really fun.

Review: Munitio Teknine SITi 9mm – Locked & Loaded

Thanks for the review, Joker.  Your review falls right in line with my observations (which is awesome, because I think this is the first IEM that I have that you've reviewed, so I can finally start putting your reviews in better context).   Sounds like I'm also generally after the same sort...

    Just ordered Munitio 9mm

the inline mic works well on the teknines, at least with my droid phone.  my wife did not hear any difference between the mic and the phone.  don't know about outside noise or wind issues, as i used it inside at my desk.  the mic itself is part of the left ear section of cable after the y split.

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread

sorry if this was covered in 228 pages (i've read about 40 is so :P ) but does anyone know if there is a tip that fits these that is similar to the shure soft flex (grey silicone/rubber) tips?  the stock tips are pretty good, but they don't quite isolate as well while staying flexible, and not...

    DBA-02 Vs. Munitio Teknines

Quote:   and for whatever reason, the treble boost eq setting on iPod's and whatnot makes things clear up for me.  without it, voices, and things like acoustic guitar (Andy McKee, Rodrigo y Gabriela, etc) sound muddy or veiled.  they get brought back into balance with the boost...

    DBA-02 Vs. Munitio Teknines

Stn.-   http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=196531   i think that link should help you set up your EQ in winamp.  I think you should be able to set the sliders flat, and then tweak them to look like the iPod eq.  i'll keep looking for more info, cause i'm curious now.

    DBA-02 Vs. Munitio Teknines

i'm not sure i'd go as far as "hello i'm sean" and say the teknines are better than the TF10's, but they are really good for what they are.  they have fairly different sound signatures.  just comparing the two, the teknines are very warm.  they have a lot of detail but again it's very warm.  the...

Any opinions on the Munitio 9mm teknines yet?

just got the TF10's about 30 minutes ago from the UPS man.  first, an update on the teknines.   i've had them burning in (my version of burning in, playing various music from my collection) since I got them a couple days ago, so I guess they've had about 48+ hours of running time.  in that...

Any opinions on the Munitio 9mm teknines yet?

kujo, i'm actually taking delivery of my first set of TF10's tomorrow.  i really want to compare them myself.  mostly because the tf10's seem to be such a known quantity, and i've been out of the IEM market for the last 5 years or so, so my comparisons to a bunch of really old Shure IEM's isn't...

Any opinions on the Munitio 9mm teknines yet?

more thoughts:   burned in overnight, and this morning the mids and treble seem to have come forward a bit, as mywallethurts commented.  i'm not sure if the bass has "mellowed" it's still very, very present.  at this point they have become a very fun iem to listen to.  i am still EQ'ing for...

Any opinions on the Munitio 9mm teknines yet?

i've spent a bit more time with them, and got to compare them to the etymotic mc3's.  here are some more impressions:   as previously mentioned, i purchased some etymotic mc3's for my wife for christmas to use with her new phone.  i had purchased the teknine's for myself because i was...

Any opinions on the Munitio 9mm teknines yet?

i just got a pair of the teknines with the inline mic with the "savage" coupon code.  i've had them for about 5 hours now.  i've been listening to them through either my computer via an RSA Predator as a DAC (never done that before, even though I've had the Predator since I preordered it at it's...

IEM advice: $100-250 similar to Shure e4c

I have been out of the IEM shopping loop for a few years (since the launch of the e4c) and need to find something similar for my wife, as well as replace my aging e4c's.   There are so many more IEM's on the market that I am feeling overwhelmed and don't know where to start.  it used to be...
