I totally agree with that notion, when I bought my home stereo, I took a plane to Sweden to listen to the various components, as I live on very small islands in the North Atlantic, my possibilities are very limited here, but for a much cheaper portable rig I thought I would take my chances;-)

Also I listen to audio books and podcasts and therefore like the Apple "universe" although sometimes I would like to kick the iTunes programmers behind )))

Thanks for the reply, I agree with you about the reproduction of the music, but I know from my home hifi system that costed a lot more than my planned portable rig, that one have to find components that play good together, some very expensive and good performers that measured fantastically...
