Suggestions for a WARM sounding Portable amp

OF copper cable is warm. RSA Hornet is nice. But for 10cm of connecting cable you really won't hear much difference. Just pick one that looks nice. Source amp and headphones are the most important. Starting with what's at the ear first :-)

Oh I see. What's the purpose of this ring? What does it do! Is it there for a reason maybe? The 325is is great, bit reluctant to play with it.

    Grado modders go Magnum

My magnums are in, using with Vibrolabs classic cups and 8 strand grado copper cable. Just got to tame in them for 2 weeks before then open up and reveal all goodness. Got to sort out a nice hook for them now.....ah the discussions one must make.

Ms1is. Are they plastic? If so. Hack hack. I put the classics on my ms1 and the sound is more robust. Well worth it.

Yep. Exactly. I would piece together what's needed. It would be a shame to rip apart the ms2. They are already a modded grado, and a high quality one too. I'm going to try and do just this in a few months. Build a grado from pieces here and there, but it will not be a grado. Just got my cups...

You have ms-2's. Leave well alone would be mine. You could put some new magnum drivers in and buy some wooded cups. But then you would have another headphone. So get yourself another grado band to hold drivers and cups. Don't destroy the ms2's just get another pair setup on the side.

    How Do I Buy a Modded X-Can

If you can find a good example of v2 as a base. Then order bits from mike. He posts direct. I have very little soldering experience but it took me about 1 and half hours to fit all new components. It's awesome. Might get a v1 to play with too.
