Vancouver Meet August 16, 2008
Hello everyone. As a result of lack of firm responses (only 7). I am officially canceling this event. I was originally hoping for at least 15 to make this event worthwhile, but I suppose everyone is quite busy during this month. Hopefully, we can try again another time.- 92135011

Hello everyone, Wonder if it is better to build a 12V power supply (your suggestion for a good schematic is welcomed and appreciated) or use a 12V rechargable battery stuck in enclosure with a 2 way switch - one to component, one to generic battery charger (your suggestion for battery...- 92135011

Headphones for running.
wait a minute...running as in a treadmill or outside? I do agree that IEM may be dangerous outside, but it should be ok on treadmill. For outside, I do like the idea of those behind the head band headphones- 92135011

So uh...anybody have $10,000 for a glass speaker?
but it can only look cool without cords. if the cords are visible then it takes a lot out of the look. btw, that room looks scary...it's supposed to look high tech but instead just looks like a place that will make you go insane- 92135011

Pop Quiz: You have $3K to spend...
If one were to spend thousands of dollars, then would it not be more useful to buy a hyper capacitor power supply, then wire the amp or whatever it is directly, rather than using an onboard AC->DC? Electronically, a hyper power supply with high value R*C would make any "dirty" power nice and flat. -
On a Mac: The best way to back up an iPod? What software?
Can use you time machine with an external drive? Time machine looks pretty cool, but I don't have an external drive and my stuff isnt even important so that I don't really use it.- 92135011

the fatman apparently got 5 stars on what hifi. and for LD, they are famous for picking up things for no money then selling them off for lots. example: their furniture usually ends up selling off for 80% off and they STILL make money. Their electronics from small names are the same way...- 92135011
